Sean Connery was born Thomas Sean Connery on August 25, 1930, in Fountainbridge, Edinburgh, Scotland. His father worked as a truck driver, while his mother was a laundress. As a child, he excelled in soccer and math; however, at age 13, he dropped out of school to work at a local dairy shop.
