Indian teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has etched his name into the record books by registering the fastest fifty in List A cricket history during the Tri-Nation Series final between India A and Sri Lanka A at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium.The 15-year-old opener unleashed a breathtaking assault on the Sri Lankan bowlers after Sri Lanka A elected to field first, racing to his half-century in just 11 deliveries. In doing so, Sooryavanshi shattered the previous world record of a 12-ball fifty, set by Sri Lanka’s Kaushalya Weeraratne in 2005.The historic moment came when Sooryavanshi launched left-arm seamer Dulaj Samuditha straight down the ground for his fifth six of the innings, bringing up a remarkable fifty and rewriting the List A record books.Sri Lanka A won the toss earlier and they decided to bowl first against India A in the Tri-Nation Series final.
